Vera (Oeth) McCutchan Obituary
Vera (Oeth) McCutchan, "Granny Mac", 96, of Evansville, Indiana, went to heaven on Monday, April 22, 2024 after a short stay at the Heritage Center.
Vera was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 29, 1927 to the late George and Florence (Wolfinger) Oeth. Vera and her husband, Milan "Mac" owned and operated McCutchan Trucking Service for 43 years. Vera got married in McCutchanville Community Church and was an active member for 77 years. She enjoyed being a snowbird and went to her home in Tavares, Florida for 33 straight winters. Vera was always supportive of her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sports and endeavors.
Vera is survived by her son, Merl McCutchan (Judi); daughter, Marla Gross (Ron); grandchildren, Mike McCutchan (Melissa), Jason McCutchan (Kristin), Mackenzie Clark (Bryan) and Justin Gross (Chelsea); great grandchildren, Traeston McCutchan, Reese McCutchan, Elsie McCutchan, Myles McCutchan, Baylen Clark and Callum Clark; special friend, Dwayne Dillahay; several nieces and nephews; and Brian Clark of Atlanta,GA who she thought of as a son.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Milan "Mac" McCutchan; son, Mark McCutchan; her parents; brother, Raymond Oeth; and sisters, Venita Schultz and Irma Morgan.
A celebration of Vera's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at McCutchanville Community Church, 9505 Petersburg Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor Russell Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at McCutchanville Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to McCutchanville Community Church or to McCutchanville Community Park.
